PA Media’s Sports Data Team cover live events around the globe on a 24/7 basis, all from our Operations Centre located in Howden, East Yorkshire. We supply live and non-live sports data to high-profile clients including Bet365, Sky Sports, The Guardian and the BBC while our digital content is used by multiple sports and platforms with our primary focus on Football, Rugby, Golf, Cricket and Tennis.
As a Sports Data Apprentice you will be involved with the input and validation of data for a wide range of sports while monitoring the additional content provided by 3rd party suppliers.
You’ll need a keen eye for detail and the flexibility and desire to cover live sporting events from around the globe.
Successful applicants will work within PA Data at our Operations Centre in Howden, East Yorkshire and will have the opportunity to work with industry experts and learn how PA sources, packages and delivers a wide variety of sports data. You will be required to meet the demands of our fast-paced operation by working flexible shifts providing live coverage of sport from around the world to big brand digital, media & broadcast customers.
Your learning will be fully supported by our partners at Doncaster College and, over the course of 18 months, you will complete your apprenticeship by achieving a Junior Content Producer Level 3 qualification.

What you’ll need
As well as being fanatical about sport you’ll also need to be over 18, have GCSE Maths and English Grade 5-9 or A-C, and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Those skills aside, it’s about your attitude and desire to do well. We choose people who are happy to roll their sleeves up, work with the team and make our business even better. You’ll find yourself in many challenging situations, but you’ll have the grit and determination to deal with anything that comes your way.
