Alamy launches Create search

Alamy launches Create search an original way for the creative sector to be inspired faster

Alamy has launched four original content collections powered by Create search, delivering fast,
catalogued search results. Together with a refresh of the platform, and a new partnership with
Talenthouse, the launch will provide customers with a place to be inspired by creativity and
distinctive content.

The introduction of Alamy Create is specifically targeted at Creative Industries users of stock
photography and video, who feel under-served by many of the established suppliers in the market.
Its new collections, and ways of using them, are specifically designed to help all Creatives to push
boundaries and take their work further.

Search results will now display content from each of the four new creative collections: Ultimate,
Vital, Uncut, and Foundation. The result is a faster, more relevant workflow, allowing customers to
gain more dynamic snapshots of content, with less time spent searching.

The Ultimate collection delivers hand-picked, thought-provoking, trendsetting imagery. Uncut is the
heart of Alamy – authentic content created by users from all over the world, unavailable to license
on other platforms.

The revamped search offering follows significant growth in 2021 for Alamy among TV & film, and
advertising & design clients as it continues to help unlock the potential of the creative sector.

Alamy’s Create collections offer unrivalled inspiration for a customer base which includes Netflix,
Ogilvy and Red Bull and draws from more than 100,000 content creators from every country in the
world.

Services for the creative sector now include commercial rights clearance, consultation on briefs, on request access to the diverse contributor base, and bespoke picture research.

Starting today, all creatives can now easily explore the new creative collections that have been
specifically built to respond to their needs.

Emily Shelley, Managing Director of Alamy, said:

“What makes Alamy different from its competitors is that we are an open platform, with content
creators uploading from every country in the world. From such a unique and uncut pool of creativity we’ve now created four collections to inspire and stretch imaginations. We want to challenge our creative customers – how far will you go with your work? And do you really want to start with the same stock content as everyone else? With Create search you won’t have to.”

Clare McKeeve, CEO of the Talenthouse Group (including EyeEm by Talenthouse) said:

“Our aligning mission to democratise opportunities for creatives and showcase their exquisite
talents to a wider audience shines through Alamy’s ‘Create’ collections. We’re thrilled to be
partnering with such an established photo-centric partner on a collection that has the ability to
engage 14.7 million of Talenthouse’s members.”
