The Entertainment Data team in Howden covers TV Scheduling, TV Editorial and Events data.
Ever wonder where Sky Q get their images and series info? Want to know more about the world of TV, like how Radio Times and BT get their content? Entertainment Data helps audiences find out what to watch every day by powering websites, digital platforms, newspapers and magazines with the most comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date TV and Events metadata in the industry.
As an Entertainment Data Apprentice, you’ll get straight to it every day, processing TV schedules and creating editorial content from broadcasters such as BBC, ITV, FilmFour and BT Sport for our many customers.
You’ll need to keep your wits about you as things hot up with new schedules arriving ahead of handover every couple of hours. Working fast and accurately to schedule these channels and write your billings is key to making sure flawless and enticing content is delivered to deadline.
Alongside this you’ll have to field queries from customers, including working closely with Sky to enhance the images and schedules used on their new Sky Q platform.
Successful applicants will work within PA Data at our Operations Centre in Howden, East Yorkshire and will have the opportunity to work with industry experts and learn how PA maintains their position as market leader for TV content.
Your learning will be fully supported by our partners at Doncaster College and over 12-18 months you will achieve your Junior Content Producer Level 3 qualification and complete your apprenticeship.

What you’ll need
As well as having an interest in all thing’s entertainment, you’ll also need to be over 18, have GCSE Grade 5-9 or B in English Language or above and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other than that, it’s about your attitude and desire to do well. We choose people who are happy to roll their sleeves up, work with the team and make our business even better. You’ll find yourself in many challenging situations, but you’ll have the grit and determination to deal with anything that comes your way.
