We have a significant new opportunity for a Racing Operations Team Leader with outstanding staff management skills to join us to lead a Racing Data Operations team in Howden, East Yorkshire.
You will manage the team who are responsible for creating betting markets for US racing events, during evenings and through the night, managing workload and developing the team to maximise their potential and ensure we continue to deliver an outstanding service.
What you’ll do …
As Racing Operations Team Leader, you’ll have overall responsibility for managing a team of Racing Data Operators in all aspects of running, maintenance and continuous improvement of Live Racing Services that run through the evening and night.
With the support of two shift leaders and three Senior Racing Data Operators you’ll be pivotal as the primary point of contact for real-time responses to our customers who include Bet365, William Hill and Paddy Power Betfair, building and maintaining excellent relationships.
You’ll work closely with management and direct reports to identify operational efficiencies to ensure we provide the most productive and cost-effective solutions for live racing data collection, production and distribution and help to design and implement these changes.

What you’ll need …
Previous experience in the industry isn’t a necessity, what’s more important is proven leadership skills and outstanding communication and organisational skills.
You’ll be able to demonstrate how you have motivated teams and influenced positive and professional behaviour to achieve business goals in the past as well as managed change and continuous improvement.
You will be able to draw from your experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports and being accountable for their overall performance, productivity and overall conduct. It would be advantageous if this experience came from a team used to working to SLA’s and KPI’s.
To be successful in this role you’ll need strong numerical and analytical skills combined with a methodical approach. And due to the nature of the industry you must be willing to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and overnight.
