Laura Paterson appointed Scotland Editor

Laura Paterson has been appointed Scotland Editor at PA Media (PA), the national news agency for the UK and Ireland.

24 August 2020: Laura Paterson has been appointed Scotland Editor at PA Media (PA), the national news agency for the UK and Ireland.  

She is promoted from the role of News Editor/Reporter within PA’s editorial team in Scotland and takes up her new role immediately, reporting to Editor-in-Chief Pete Clifton.

Laura will be responsible for all of PA’s multimedia editorial output from Scotland, across the main newswire, politics and digital services, and will lead the teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Laura joined PA as a reporter in 2016, later assuming the role of Political Reporter before taking on News Editor duties. She began her career at The Digger in Glasgow in 2009 and went on to hold senior reporting positions at The Press and Journal (Inverness), Central Scotland News Agency (Stirling), the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter (Clydebank) and Sunday Mail (Glasgow).
