This is an important factor in Globelynx’s growth strategy as it prepares to roll out a new generation of products and services
Globelynx operates a network of self-operated, broadcast quality camera systems which allow expert contributors to connect remotely with newsrooms around the world for live and pre-recorded interviews.
Under the terms of a new three and half -year deal, The Switch will continue to act as Globelynx’s primary delivery and transmission service provider, facilitating the uninterrupted delivery of live feeds between Globelynx’s network of cameras and its broadcast clients. This will enable Globelynx’s roster of experts to deliver live commentary and analysis to news outlets including ITN, BBC, Sky News, Al Jazeera, CNN, CNBC and CGTN.
The renewal of its contract with The Switch is an important part of Globelynx’s growth strategy as it prepares to roll out a new range of mobile and subscriber packages aimed at providing flexible entry points to high-quality broadcasting for a wider range of users. Last year, the company launched the compact ‘PortaCam Go’ unit, hailed at the time as its smallest and most cost effective ‘TV studio in a box’.
David Hanson, Managing Director of Globelynx, said, “The Switch has been an excellent broadcast partner, providing a robust and high-quality platform and comprehensive support around the clock. I look forward to working with them as Globelynx enters its next phase of growth.”
Robert Szabo-Rowe, SVP Product Management at The Switch, said, “The Switch is excited and proud to be working with innovative companies like Globelynx. The value of our joint proposition during the current situation can’t be underestimated and I think will make organisations question their traditional workflows.”
Globelynx’s existing customers include Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies such as Bank of America and Lloyds of London, as well as academic and scientific institutions such as the University of Oxford, the University of St. Gallen and The Met Office.
Broadcasters in turn, can search Globelynx’s database and book experts directly from a network which spans Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
