Lina Ghazal has joined PA Media Group as Director of Public Affairs, reporting to CEO Emily Shelley.

Lina will provide public affairs leadership across the organisation, engaging with Government, regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders and strengthening PA’s visibility, influence and trusted position within the UK news and media ecosystem and beyond.

Lina was previously Global Head of Regulatory and Public Affairs at Verifymy, a safety technology company, where she built and led the public affairs function. Prior to this, Lina worked on public policy and regulatory issues at Meta, leading engagement on content regulation, trust and safety and misinformation, and at Ofcom, where she contributed to early UK policy development on online regulation and the future of public service media. Lina began her career at TF1, one of Europe’s largest media groups, focusing on media regulation, competition and digital policy.

Lina Ghazal, Director of Public Affairs, PA Media Group says:

“I’m delighted to be joining PA Media Group at such an exciting time of change and opportunity for the industry. As the news and media landscape continues to evolve rapidly, it is more important than ever that trusted organisations like PA are visible, influential and closely engaged with Government, regulators and industry stakeholders.

I look forward to working with Emily Shelley and the wider leadership team to strengthen PA’s position as an authoritative voice on the future of journalism, and on the key issues shaping the sector, including AI, misinformation and media sustainability.”
