19th May 2015: Globelynx, the broadcast solutions provider that connects expert commentators to broadcasters, has appointed John Holliday as Managing Director of Globelynx.
John replaces Globelynx founder, David FitzGerald, who is retiring. David will continue to have a relationship with the business as Executive Consultant.
David Fitzgerald, founder and Executive Consultant of Globelynx said: “I am delighted to be handing over the running of the company to John. John has my full support and is ideally suited to continue the growth of Globelynx and take it to the next stage of its development with his key experience at Bloomberg TV, Sky News and the BBC.”
John Holliday, new Managing Director of Globelynx, said: “Globelynx is uniquely positioned to capitalise on further growth opportunities as we look to expand into new territories and our product offering.
“We have already seen a 48% increase in broadcast bookings over the General Election, compared to the same period in 2010. This is a testament to the exciting opportunities ahead. As a business we are committed to providing more products and services at cost efficient prices so more customers can install our technology and connect to broadcasters.”
Globelynx, which is part of the Press Association (PA), provides broadcasting solutions for many major clients including 80+ universities and business schools, corporate companies, media organisations and financial institutions across Europe and beyond, facilitating hundreds of live interviews per month through its broadcast network in approximately 30 countries.
